Practice of Tai Chi            WHO ARE YOU LOOKING AT !! Actually Robo is a bit stiff.  Tai Chi should be done slowly and smoothly.  Never quickly or forcefully.     Tai Chi is meditation in motion.

Search a forum for info on Tai Chi (medical applications, etc.)

It has been quite some time since I have practiced Tai Chi.  However, when I first started Tai Chi, the incredible effects were apparent immediately.

Tai Chi is sort of a meditation in motion.  It is a martial art.  Both sides of the body are used in repetitious motions that develop posture and balance.  The movements are directed around the human center of gravity inside the body, below the navel.  The practice of Tai Chi will force the practitioner to relax the mind and body.  There is almost no way to avoid a deep relaxation although the body is in motion.  You will find yourself more aware how your body feels, and moves throughout the day.

Tai Chi can benefit the mobility impaired (classes are even offered to wheelchair bound people), the balance impaired, and may even improve brain function since it uses both halves of the brain (both sides of the body are used).

Once you are able to relax and remove physical and mental stress from your body, you will find that you have much more energy throughout the day.  You will be able to think more clearly, and even sleep deeper.  Muscles in the body will release the tension due to chronic stress and help to actually alleviate pain in the body and align the spine and joints.
